Well, the results are in and whether or not it is a surprise depends on who you are. The prestigious champions are certainly not surprised. Congratulations to The Modest and Gracious most Esteemed and Honourable champions of the Cotton Cup 2014, Kevin Van Sickle and Ray Leaitch. They would never brag about this second championship if you were to meet them, but it was a stellar display of sportsmanship combined with precision and talent to a degree that may never be seen again. Honourable mention goes to the second place finishers Paul Cotton and Ken Duxbury who did their best but fell just short of our elite twosome. Limping into third place were the pre-tournament favorites, Jeff Roberts and Dale Cotton who were last seen talking to the cart girl. Grabbing an impressive fourth place finish, out of nowhere, were Tyler Wastle and rookie sensation Robert Gabinet. The competition was fierce but a great time was had by all. Thank you to all of the many spectators in the bulging galleries that swelled to follow this historic conquering of Royal Ashburn Golf Club.
